Pastoral Lead (Special Educational Needs)

Salary: GBP 15.37 – 16.78 per hour (GBP 27,463 – 29,982 per year)

Contract: Permanent, Full:Time, Term:Time Only (Enjoy your school holidays)

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Specialist Independent Provision : Mansfield

Responsibilities

• Serve as the go-to person for students needing emotional, social, and behavioural guidance.
• Build trusted relationships with students, parents, and carers.
• Run 1:1 wellbeing interventions and facilitate student councils.
• Champion safeguarding and look for proactive ways to improve school attendance.
• Use de-escalation skills to keep learning spaces calm and therapeutic.
• Keep accurate records to ensure no student falls through the cracks.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with neurodivergent youth (SEND/ASC).
• Relevant Level 3 qualification or higher.
