Job Summary:
The Pathology Assistant position is located in San Francisco, California. This role involves integrating knowledge, theory, and practice to execute procedures in a high-volume acute care hospital laboratory setting. The laboratory expert will assist with gross dissection, specimen handling, and various post-mortem examinations, working cooperatively within the laboratory team to facilitate accurate testing and reporting to support patient care.
Job Details:
Schedule: Evening shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid Pathologists' Assistant (PA) certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP); relevant educational background; eligible for California licensure; 2 years of experience in a hospital setting preferred.
