Pathology Support Technician, Per Diem, Morristown, NJ

Under supervision of the Laboratory Supervisor, the pathology support tech ensures proper preparation, handling, labeling, and transport of specimens, maintains equipment and inventory; and assists Pathologists with diagnostic procedures such as frozen sections. Upholds accuracy, safety, and compliance with medical, ethical, and legal standards.

+ Specimen Handling and Accessioning: Receives, documents, and labels pathology specimens. Assists in specimen preparation for analysis, including fixation and
staining. Ensures proper storage and transport per protocols.

+ Computer Skills: Demonstrates proficiency in the use of HIS and LIS software systems in all job-related functions.

+ Technical & Laboratory Support: Prepare solutions, stains, and reagents for rapid diagnoses. Slide staining (Touch/squash preps and Diff Quick) for Pathologists. Assist
