CMC - Infusion Therapy

Principal Accountabilities: (including but not limited to)


+ Assists Patient with Activities of Daily Living. Assists pt. with personal hygiene as needed. Administers oral hygiene.

+ Assists with meals and feeds patients as needed. Passes beverages and snacks. Assists in transfer/ambulation. Provides bedpans/urinals as needed. Age Specific Competencies Provides maximum privacy, maintaining patient safety standards.

+ Allows patient to have some control in self-care and decision making. Offers assistance to aging adults with ADLs. Anticipates decreased visual acuity and hearing loss.

+ Provides assistance as necessary including step stools, access to handicapped bathroom, etc. Speaks in a volume sufficient for the patient to hear.

+ Administers Basic Treatments. Measures and records patient’s weight. Applies warm and cold treatments. Collects specimens.
