You will provide daily operational oversight and coordination of patients progressing through the POA pathway to support continuity of patient flow, elective activity and surgical booking.


Job Purpose
The Patient Pathway Coordinator will support the operational management and coordination of patients progressing through the Pre-Operative Assessment (POA) pathway.


You will work daily from the Trust EPR (Cerner) system and support the booking and progression of patients for surgical specialties. This includes ensuring patients are appropriately progressed through the POA pathway, investigations and outcomes are followed up, and patient records are accurately maintained to support timely surgery booking and reduce avoidable delays or cancellations.
The role will work closely with POA nursing teams, anaesthetists, surgical specialties, scheduling teams and operational managers to support patient flow and elective activity.
