Job Description

Peer Support Worker – Mental Health In‑patient Unit

Te Whare Oranga Tangata o Whakaue, Rotorua – Part‑time (up to 28 hours per week).

Rostered shifts Monday to Sunday. Working alternating shifts from 8am to 3:30pm, with occasional on‑call roster after hours and weekends.

About the Role

As a Peer Support Worker you will support tangata whai ora to live their best lives as independently as possible in the community. You will work alongside a multi‑disciplinary team of doctors, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, activity facilitators and cultural support staff, providing holistic care for people with moderate to severe mental illness.
