Description

The will join the efforts to improve birth outcomes and patient experiences for individuals delivering at Mount Sinai Health System by integrating doula services into the continuum of care for our obstetric patients. 

The Per Diem Hospital-Based Doula will provide ongoing, non-medical emotional, physical, and informational support to pregnant and birthing individuals and their families during the prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum periods.


Qualifications
  • Provide continuous, non-medical labor support throughout labor and delivery, including reassurance, grounding techniques, emotional support, physical comfort measures, and facilitation of communication between patients and the care team
  • Provide prenatal support through in-person or virtual visits, including development of birth plans, childbirth education, and emotional support for pregnant individuals
