Qualifications

• Licensed in the State of Kansas (or equivalent qualifications as approved by the board)

Responsibilities

• Report to the building principal or school secretary upon arrival.
• Review plans and schedules with the principal or department head.
• Maintain the established routines and procedures of the assigned school/classroom.
• Teach the lesson outlined in the substitute teacher's guide as prepared by the absent teacher.
• Consult with the principal or department head before initiating any procedures not specified in the guide.
• Follow all policies, rules, and procedures applicable to regular teachers.
• Write a summary of the day's activities for the classroom teacher.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
