In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for chemotherapy and supportive therapy order verification for appropriateness, preparing and dispensing of these medications for administration to patients by nurses.

Job Responsibilities:

Demonstrates proper technique and knowledge while preparing chemotherapy. Properly prepares chemotherapy and other compounded sterile products following the established NYU guidelines. Understands and performs sterile technique when preparing compounded sterile products. This includes the washing of hands and arms with approved germicidal soap, use of personal protective equipment and gloves, sanitizing the hoods with alcohol, placement of an absorbent chemo pads on the working surface of the hood, placement of all items needed for product preparation in the hood and proper use of closed system transfer devices or neg...
