Pharmacy Assistant (Bilingual)

Job Summary:

Provides public reception; sells pharmacy merchandise; transcribes information for prescription labels; assists pharmacist with clerical functions according to established procedures.

Essential Responsibilities:

Upholds Kaiser Permanentes Policies and Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities and applicable state, federal and local laws. 1. Greets patients; initiates sales from and performs other clerical tasks by recording applicable patient information prior to routing prescription to pharmacist. 2. Sells pharmacy merchandise to correct patient, may determine fee for pharmacy merchandise following established procedures; records transactions with cash register. 3. Transcribes by typing, or other means, dosage instructions and data, such as drug name and quantity for labels as required by abbreviated or symbolized information written on physicians orders. 4.
