Job Description
A Pharmacy Technician I will perform technical functions and related pharmacy duties at all pharmacies as well as activities related to procuring, storing, and distribution of pharmaceutical and pharmacy products.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Procures, stores and distributes pharmacy merchandise in accordance with legal requirements.
- Follows procedures in verifying patient information.
- Type and fill prescriptions in accordance with legal requirements on the pharmacy computer operating System in a high output setting.
- Keeps work area and equipment in a clean and organized condition; maintains a safe efficient work environment.
- Assists in the maintenance of inventory records, the taking of inventories, the placement of orders, and the receiving of drugs and supplies.
- Establishes and maintains courteous and cooperative relationships with peers, patients, and other personnel, and the public.
