Job Description
PhD Research Fellow – Continuous Experience Recognition for Distributed Co‑creative Immersive Systems
University of Oslo – Department of Informatics
Starting date: no later than 2 Feb 2027. Fellowship period is three years, with a possible fourth year that involves 25 percent of other career‑promoting work such as teaching, supervision, and research assistance, depending on candidate qualification and department needs. No one may be appointed for more than one PhD research fellowship period at the University of Oslo.
Responsibilities
- Explore how a combination of multimodal observation (audio, video, LiDAR, thermal vision) and physiological measurements (motion tracking, eye tracking, EMG, BCI, EDA, HRV) can be used to continuously assess the human experience of interaction quality.
- Feed that assessment back into an AI‑based predictor to tune its behaviour in real‑time for a highly personalized and context‑dependent experience. <...
