Job Description
This role involves performing blood draws and collecting specimens in a fast-paced lab setting while ensuring accuracy, patient comfort, and compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities
+ Perform venipuncture using straight and butterfly needles
+ Collect, label, process, and store blood and other specimens
+ Handle 25–35+ patient draws per day across all age groups
+ Explain procedures clearly and provide strong patient care
+ Verify test requisitions and ensure 100% labelling accuracy
+ Centrifuge, package, and prepare specimens for transport
+ Maintain patient records and update information in systems
+ Follow OSHA/DEP safety and quality guidelines
+ Support team workflow and assist with basic troubleshooting
