The Phlebotomist II supports a busy clinical laboratory by performing high-quality blood draws and specimen collection, troubleshooting issues, assisting with training, and recommending workflow improvements. This role focuses on accurate specimen handling, exceptional patient interaction, and strict adherence to laboratory protocols and safety regulations in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
+ Perform venipuncture and blood draws using straight needles and butterfly needles with a high level of accuracy and patient care.
+ Collect and store blood, urine, fecal, and other specimens according to established procedures and test requirements.
+ Clearly and courteously explain the venipuncture and specimen collection process to patients to ensure understanding and comfort.
+ Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and verify all test requisitions or computer labels aga...
