This role focuses on obtaining accurate and sufficient samples with minimal discomfort for patients across a wide range of ages and backgrounds, supporting high-quality diagnostic care.
Responsibilities
+ Perform blood draws using straight needles and butterfly needles, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
+ Collect and store blood, urine, fecal, and other specimens according to established procedures and protocols.
+ Explain venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures clearly and courteously to patients before performing them.
+ Match laboratory requisition forms or computer-generated labels to specimen tubes to ensure 100% accuracy.
