Department: INTENSIVE REHAB UNIT
Job Summary
Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Physiatrist to join our CARF-accredited Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (IRU) located in Utica, NY. This is an opportunity to practice true inpatient rehabilitation medicine in a collaborative, interdisciplinary setting with strong administrative support and a commitment to high-quality outcomes. MVHS has the only CARF-accredited rehab program between Syracuse and Schenectady.
Position/Community Highlights
• 24-bed Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
• Medically complex adult patient population (stroke, TBI, SCI C4 and below, neuro, ortho)
• Interdisciplinary team model with PT, OT, SLP, psychology, and rehab nursing
• Daily physician oversight with strong administrative support
• Established referral base
