Summary The Physical Therapy Chronic Pain Clinical Specialist for the Active Management of Pain (AMP) program serves as the subject matter expert on the evaluation and treatment of chronic pain issues and interventions provided by Physical Therapy within the pain program. Serves as a consultant in evaluation and treating clients with chronic pain conditions in the Northern Arizona VA Health Care System. Educates staff, physicians and students regarding these interventions and techniques. Responsibilities Duties of the Physical Therapist (Clinical Specialist) include but are not limited to the following: Spends at least 50% of clinical time providing AMP groups in VA Facility through virtual/telehealth modalities (e.g., VVC) or in-person Demonstrates expertise in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment plans for adult patients with complex pain problems.
