DeKalb, Illinois, is a vibrant city of roughly 40,000 residents located 60 miles west of Chicago. It balances a mix of urban and suburban atmospheres with strong agricultural roots, offering affordable housing, diverse culture, and numerous recreational activities. Sandwich, IL offers a small-town feel with a mix of rural charm and suburban convenience southwest of Chicago.
