General Summary

The Pipeline Inspector I is responsible for the inspection and reporting on the construction of new water and sewer main line installation, new and renewed service lateral connections, water and sewer relocation, paving replacement, and landscaping restoration. The Pipeline Inspector I ensures that all work is done in accordance with WSSC’s contract documents and procedures Essential Functions

Inspects water and sewer main line construction, new water and sewer lateral connection installations, water and sewer lateral connection renewals, water main rehabilitation including cleaning and lining, sewer and manhole rehabilitation, paving, sod, and landscaping restoration

Checks for proper water and sewer tap installations

Conducts and/or monitors compaction testing of backfilled soils during and after completion of the work

Observes safety regulations, including wearing personal protective equipment...
