Your Opportunity:
Reporting to the Manager, Facilities Maintenance & Engineering, the Plumber maintains various plumbing and pipe systems, utilities, mechanical and structural aspects of the facility. Incumbent will perform maintenance tasks on water supply, sewage and drainage equipment as well as installation, alteration, repair and general maintenance of all plumbing, heating gas piping systems and related equipment. Provides recommendations on the design of piping and plumbing systems as well as replacing, modifying and performing major repairs on existing piping and plumbing systems. Assists trades and other maintenance staff as required and performs other duties as assigned. Assists in keeping mechanical and shop areas clean. May be required to rotate on-call responsibilities at the discretion of the Manager.This position may be required to work at other hospital sites for a longer duration within the Edmonton Zone (including rural).
