Policy Analyst – Disability Policy Team – Ministry of Social Development / Te Manatū Whakahiato Ora (MSD)

Responsibilities

• Provide balanced and robust advice on system‑level settings to help disabled people and their families access effective MSD supports and services.
• Contribute to the Crown’s response to the Royal Commission of Inquiry into Abuse in Care.
• Review and contribute to legislation regarding disability issues.
• Collaborate with operational colleagues, DSS Policy colleagues, and the wider Policy Group to ensure policy settings reflect diverse needs while maintaining staff wellbeing and a strong work‑life balance.

• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking ability.
