Political Law Intern

Location: Washington, DC
Schedule: 20-25 hours a week; between 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Friday
FLSA: Non-Exempt

Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP is a leading international law firm with more than 900 lawyers in offices throughout the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. We are currently seeking a Political Law Intern to support our Public Law & Policy practice for Fall 2026, reporting directly assigned attorney(s), advisor(s), and practice management.



This position will reside in the Washington, DC office with hybrid work capabilities. The Political Law Intern will be responsible for supporting the needs of our Political Law practice, as well as get the opportunity for exposure to clients with varied legal questions—campaign finance, pay to play, lobbying registration and reporting, gift and ethics rules, and a wide variety of other interests.
