Portfolio Manager / Broker Consultant

A leading provider of Heavy Commercial Vehicle Insurance across South Africa and the SADC region is looking for Portfolio Managers to join its Johannesburg and Durban teams. The company specialises in building long-lasting relationships within the insurance industry and prides itself on its underwriting expertise, commercial insurance knowledge, and deep understanding of the heavy commercial vehicle insurance sector.
 
The role involves taking over and managing an existing portfolio of brokers and clients, ensuring continuity in relationships, while actively focusing on new business development, premium growth and sustainable underwriting profitability. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in dealing with brokers, growing insurance portfolios, selling commercial insurance products, and supporting profitable business growth. Knowledge of commercial vehicle insurance, fleet insurance, trucking insurance or goods in transit insurance will be highly advantageous.
