Project Overview

The SAFESEA – Safeguarding from acidification: feedbacks and ecosystem services for European and Global action – is a Horizon EU funded project that investigates how ocean acidification affects marine plankton and the resulting ecosystem impacts.

Research Focus and Responsibilities

The postdoctoral researcher will work at the Marine Biological Section, Faculty of Science, University of Copenhagen, Helsingør, Denmark. Key tasks include:

  • Designing and conducting experiments on phytoplankton and micro‑zooplankton to generate single‑driver physiological performance curves.
  • Identifying critical tipping points and thresholds where performance declines under pH changes.
