Postdoctoral fellow for the FWO-WEAVE-project ‘Aristotle on Soul and Senses: Exchanges between Latin and Greek Transmissions of De anima and De sensu’ (EXDADS)

We invite applications for a postdoctoral fellowship (3 years) in the framework of the FWO-WEAVE project Aristotle on Soul and Senses: Exchanges between Latin and Greek Transmissions of De anima and De sensu, carried out in collaboration between KU Leuven and the University of Tübingen (Germany). The PIs of the project are Lisa Devriese (KU Leuven), Pieter Beullens (KU Leuven), and Klaus Corcilius (Tübingen).
The project examines the medieval Latin translations of Aristotles De anima and De sensu, their Greek sources, and the dynamic exchanges between both traditions. The successful candidate will prepare a critical edition of the Latin translation of De sensu, in close collaboration with the team in Leuven and with the parallel postdoctoral researcher based in Tübingen, who will work on the critical edition of the Latin translation of De anima.
