Postdoctoral Research Associate

Job Summary The Postdoctoral Associate will conduct integrated experimental and theoretical research on the mechano‐electrochemical behavior of battery electrodes and active particles. The primary function is to develop and deploy advanced experimental platforms for coupled electrochemical‐mechanical measurements, including optical quantification of deformation at the electrode and single‐particle scales. The postdoc will analyze chemo‐mechanical phenomena in porous electrodes and individual particles, contribute to the development of physics‐based models, and combine hands‐on battery fabrication and characterization with rigorous data analysis and modeling. Minimum Qualifications Ph.D. in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, materials science, or a closely related field. 0–3 years of relevant research experience in battery systems or electrochemical energy storage.
