Postdoctoral Researcher Position in AI/DFT/DMFT Computational Materials Discovery - Aalto University

Overview

Professor Andrei Bernevig (Princeton University; visiting professor at Aalto University) and Professor Päivi Törmä (Aalto University) are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to work on discovering new superconducting materials with high critical temperatures. The project is part of the Finnish Center of Excellence in Quantum Materials and collaborates with the SuperC and Simons Collaboration on New Frontiers of Superconductivity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply machine‑learning algorithms and generative models to identify novel superconducting material classes.
• Integrate state‑of‑the‑art numerical simulations with analytic theory to predict high‑critical‑temperature materials beyond conventional substitutional frameworks.
