Job Description

Position Summary
The Postdoctoral Scholar will contribute to experimental nuclear science research in one of the areas listed below:


+ Lifetime measurements and spectroscopy with fast and reaccelerated rare-isotope beams – The goal of the research is to investigate nuclear shell and shape evolution far from stability and study exotic decays and electromagnetic responses of weakly-bound systems. Experiments will be performed utilizing the gamma-ray tracking array in combination of the plunger device, ancillary detectors and spectrograph (Prof. Hiro Iwasaki).




Major Duties/Responsibilities


+ Perform research and development activities to support the FRIB experimental program

+ Prepare and submit research results for publication

+ Attend conferences and seminars and present the results of the research program
