Job Description
A growing Conventional Power and Renewables underwriting team is looking for an experienced Underwriter or Assistant Underwriter to join a small, high-performing group. This role offers the chance to work across a well-supported, global portfolio with genuine headroom for growth and increased influence in the market. With a strong energy pedigree at the senior level — including the Active Underwriter — the team is committed to expanding its conventional power book, while continuing to support renewables as part of broader programs.
This team have a global remit — 65% US vs 35% international, with business including open market, lineslip, and consortium risks. The portfolio includes a high volume of accounts; 20% of premium touches renewables. There will be regular interaction in Lloyd’s and the possibility to travel. Experience in conventional power is desirable but construction or engineering backgrounds could also be considered.
