Job Description

Piper Companies is searching for an experienced Board-Certified Hepatologist to join a clinical research site in Raleigh, NC as a part-time Principal Investigator to provide leadership and support for clinical development and execution of hepatology and gastroenterology clinical trials.

This role is part-time, 4 - hours expected per week, and can be completed onsite in Raleigh, NC based on the candidate's availability during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.

Responsibilities of the Principal Investigator:

  • Provide clinical expertise in the conduct of gastroenterology clinical trials
  • Collaborate across the organization in Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Operations, and Patient Engagement
  • Provide oversight to a team of researchers and clinical staff involved in conducting clinical trials
  • Evaluate study volunteer’s eligibility for clinical trials
