Penelakut Island Elementary School is located on Penelakut Island off the shore of Chemainus B.C. The school has an average student enrolment of 80 students and delivers the current BC Curriculum to its K to Grade 8 students. We offer a 4-day work week, with operation Monday to Thursday 7:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. We offer a generous salary and benefits package after a 3-month probationary period. Penelakut Tribe also offers water taxi transportation for staff members.
Penelakut Tribe is looking for a Principal for the Penelakut Island Elementary School. The Principal is responsible for the overall management of Penelakut Island Elementary School, including the development and administration of the school’s budgets, research and preparation of funding, grant proposals, supervision and evaluation of teachers and support staff, recommend and implement all school policies and regulations.
