POSITION OVERVIEW:
TEKsystems is now hiring for one of Connecticut’s leading cardiology practice that has offices throughout CT, part of HHC. Their Wallingford office is in need of a Prior Authorization Specialist to join their team.
The Prior Authorization Representative is responsible for obtaining timely insurance approvals for cardiology procedures, imaging, and medications to support patient care and minimize delays.
Key Responsibilities:
Submit and track prior authorization requests for procedures, diagnostics, and medications
Communicate with insurance companies, providers, and patients regarding authorization status
Ensure accurate and complete documentation in the EMR
Follow up on pending requests and resolve denials or additional information requests
