Product Development Chemist

This position will support Hard Coat and Anti Fog Product Development projects to build a commercially viable functional coating product pipeline in alignment with SDC business goals.

• Lead or assist projects in product development milestone attainment including competitive benchmarking, product formulation and optimization, establishment of manufacturing control plan for scale-up and production
• Screen and qualify alternative key raw materials to facilitate sustained supply of functional coating and film products
• Generate ideas and proofs‑of‑concept for new technologies for proprietary product and intellectual property development
• Leverage new and innovative building blocks to accelerate development of proprietary value‑added functional coatings
• Provide support for development of new equipment, formulas, processes, and methods for solution of technical problems.
