Product Development Executive

Job Description

• Lead product planning activities including market research, competitor benchmarking, and product positioning
• Develop product specification strategy aligned with local market needs and pricing targets
• Drive vehicle localisation initiatives (parts, components, suppliers) to meet cost and policy requirements
• Coordinate with OEM/principal on technical specifications, engineering changes, and product adaptation
• Manage full vehicle homologation process in Malaysia (JPJ, MIROS, SIRIM, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety, and environmental standards
• Liaise with internal teams (engineering, purchasing, marketing) and external authorities
• Track project timelines to ensure successful product launch
• Support costing and business case development for new models and localisation
• Monitor policy changes and industry regulations impacting product strategy
