A Product Lead owns the product direction for a small, autonomous squad. They decide what to build, why it matters, and determine if it worked, holding accountability for business outcomes rather than simply shipping features.

The role blends product judgment, discovery, and stakeholder alignment with high technical fluency. Products are prototyped using AI tools before engineering time is committed, and the product lead writes simple code (config, copy, flags, UI tweaks) to unblock work. They collaborate closely with engineering, read and write code, and engage in architectural conversations.
