Production Manager (Animal Science)

Position Overview

Involved in the planning and co‑coordinating of the feed manufacturing processes to ensure that the products and services are effective and produced according to the right costs and quality. Responsible for the management and coordination of the feed mills processes including intake, storage, grinding, batching, mixing, pelting and dispatch of product, continuous improvement of the facilities performance and overall equipment efficiency and stock control.

Key Performance Areas (Raw Material Duties and Responsibilities)

• Allocate production and update schedules to incorporate feed order / product code changes
• Receive new feed orders
• Ensure adequate raw material levels in proportioning bins
• Ensure adequate final feed stock levels in out‑loading bins
• Participate in schedule planned maintenance
