**Description**

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) program director (PD) is a faculty member who holds an administrative appointment as an academic program leader within the School of Nursing (SON) in addition to other faculty responsibilities, including teaching, scholarship, service and practice consistent with the URSON’s unification model. Responsibilities include oversight of program needs related to students, faculty, support staff, and/or administrative matters. The PD is primarily responsible for strategic planning and the academic program in response to emerging trends in health profession education and evolving workforce needs.
