Program Support Assistant- Surgical Services

Summary The incumbent serves as a Program Support Assistant within Surgery Services at Lexington VA Health Care Systems (LVAHCS). Surgery Service provides tertiary, subspecialty surgical care for the Veterans in this service, as well as those from other areas . The Surgery Service is composed of several areas of clinical activity at both the Bowling and Sousley Campuses of Lexington VA Healthcare Systems, including Surgery Case Management. Responsibilities The Surgery Service is authorized to provide care to inpatients on medical/surgical wards, intensive care units, and holds primary responsibility for all surgical sub-speciality outpatient clinics, pre-operative assessments clinics, and Ambulatory Surgery Program. The service is responsible for the diagnosis, management, and perioperative treatments for patients with surgical diseases.
