Property Accountant (NA Hours)

Position Overview

We are seeking a Property Accountant to join our Property Accounting team. This individual will prepare monthly financial statements for commercial and residential management clients. You will work on multiple client accounts and collaborate with Accountants in the US.

We operate a hybrid working model with 3 days of working from home per week. This role is based in the Cape Town Office, and the successful candidate will need to work partial US hours – 12:00 to 20:30, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Post tenant receipts and ensure accurate cash application
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Prepare supporting workbooks (as per each client’s request)
• Review income statements against the Trial Balance and General Ledger for accuracy
