Psychiatrist - AOT Evaluator Part-Time/Locum Tenens Job in the Hudson Valley/Capital Region, New York

A county Department of Mental Health in New York's Hudson Valley region is seeking a board-certified psychiatrist to serve as an independent evaluator for its Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) program. This is a long-term, supplemental role ideal for a provider already working in the region who wants consistent, flexible additional income without taking on a full caseload.

What the Role Involves:
You would conduct AOT evaluations averaging 45 to 60 minutes each, assessing whether individuals meet statutory criteria for court-ordered outpatient treatment. When new petitions or renewals require it, you would provide in-person courtroom testimony.
