GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under general supervision administers radiation treatments to patients, as prescribed by the physician, utilizing specialized equipment including linear accelerator, High Dose Rate (HDR) After loader, and Computed Tomography.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Reviews patient prescriptions to ascertain type of treatment required, location affected areas, history of previous radiation treatment, etc.
+ Safely positions patients utilizing immobilization devices.
+ Utilizes appropriate treatment accessories as prescribed by the physician.
