Delivers radiation therapy. Meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in the specific age range in assigned clinical area.
Job Duties


+ Explains procedures and answers patient questions. Schedules treatments in oncology information management system and gives a copy of the schedule to the patient.

+ Positions patient for treatment reproducing simulation setup, obtains required imaging and accurately delivers treatment. Is competent in routine and complex studies. Maintains accessory medical equipment such as IVs and oxygen.

+ Observes and questions patient concerning nutrition status, side effects, and emotional health. Notifies physician of significant patient problems. Resolves questions concerning patient's prescription with physician.

+ Reviews the treatment record in oncology information management system for completeness and accuracy daily. Completes charts and submits appropriate billing.
