Radiologic Technologist

This position is responsible for providing patients with diagnostic radiologic testing. This includes the proper management of workflow to ensure that all patients receive the best care possible.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (*Essential Functions)

• * Performs radiologic procedures with all x-ray equipment only when requested by a physician. Introduces self to patient and fully explains the exam prior to the start of the exam. Obtains proper patient history, including previous allergic reactions, history of allergies, menstrual history, other information that is appropriate to the patient's safety, as well as necessary clinical information. Positions the patient in the x-ray equipment for each view by using the proper technique (MA, time, KVP) in order to reduce radiation exposure, while using proper shielding, collimation and immobilization devices as indicated for each age...
