Radiologic Technologist

Performs diagnostic medical procedures producing diagnostic medical radiographs. Reports to the charge radiographers.

Responsibilities

Performs radiographic examinations using C-arms, portable and stationary radiographic imaging equipment. Develops film including evaluating film for technical quality. Transports patients to radiographic room; prepares and maintains room. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Checks equipment, supplies and accessories on a regular basis. Maintains x-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order; performs preventative maintenance on a regularly scheduled basis; contacts outside service for major malfunctions.
