Rail Trainee: Train Operations & Safety

Transnet Freight Rail is inviting applications for the Trainee Train Assistant Programme 2026 aimed at South African unemployed youth. As a Trainee Train Assistant, you will assist the Train Driver in the safe and efficient movement of trains and cargo. Candidates must have Grade 12 with Mathematics and/or Physical Science, be at least 21 years old, physically fit, and able to carry heavy objects. The program offers valuable training and entry into the railway and logistics sector.
