- Product development for dormakaba’s surface-mounted and concealed door closers and floor springs.
- Executes detailed design of assigned components and sub-assemblies for door closers and floor springs in accordance with project requirements, milestones, and schedule.
- Conducts feasibility studies, FMEA, DFM/DFA, tolerance analysis, cost analysis and material selection on assigned scope, with guidance from senior engineers on harder trade-offs.
- Collaborates with manufacturing and suppliers on assigned components through DFM & DFA to ensure designs are producible and meet quality requirements.
- Prepares and presents design proposals, progress reports, and test reports to project stakeholders; flags risks and blockers early to the project lead.
- Utilizes SolidWorks software to generate detailed 3D models and production-ready technical drawings for prototypes and production.
