Registered Building Inspector (Class 2 A- F)

Vacancy Description Waverley Borough Council is looking for a committed and professionally competent Registered Building Inspector to join our Building Control team. You will help protect the health, safety, sustainability, energy conservation and accessibility of people in and around buildings across the borough, undertaking all aspects of the Building Control function on behalf of the council. In this role, you will examine plans, carry out site inspections, maintain accurate records, and ensure full compliance with the Building Regulations. You will manage dangerous structures, deal with demolitions, provide clear technical advice, and take enforcement action where required. You will work closely with residents, contractors, architects and partner agencies, offering a professional, solution-focused service while upholding the Building Safety Regulators Operational Standards Rules and Code of Conduct.
