The Loyola Emergency Department (ED) provides comprehensive, 24/7 emergency care to a diverse patient population spanning all age groups, from newborns to geriatric patients. With 28 beds, including dedicated trauma and pediatric bays, the ED manages a wide spectrum of medical, surgical, and psychiatric conditions. As a level 1 American College of Surgeons verified trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, it offers specialized care such as cardiac monitoring, mechanical ventilation, and trauma interventions. Staffed by a team of highly credentialed nurses, the department operates under rigorous professional standards aligned with national guidelines and regulatory requirements.
