Registered Nurse (Float Pool)

Summary
The Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing competent, evidence based care to assigned patients and oversight of licensed vocational nurses/nursing assistants, as appropriate to the setting. The nurse will assist in directing the provision of nursing education, orientation, competencies and providing quality improvement and outcomes utilization consultation.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Complete admission assessments on assigned patients within 24 hours of admission.
• Reassess patient condition every 12 hours or as needed.
• Verify physicians' orders using CPRS.
• Document vital signs and assessments using CPRS.
• Take verbal and telephone orders per policy.
