Job DescriptionFor both Non- Union and Union jobs, the below description will apply:Responsibilities1. Demonstrates strong leadership capabilities2) Ensuring resident / patient care is provided with established nursing standards and principles, physicians’ orders and administrative policies3) Assisting in the assessment and monitoring of residents / patients while working to develop, implement, review and evaluate resident/patient care plans4) Managing and evaluating the work of nursing and personal care staff assigned to the unit, including orientations and other supervisory duties5) Monitoring performance, conducting performance appraisals and referring problems to the Director of Care6) Provide direction to the nursing department in the absence of the Director of CareQualifications1) Appropriate current certificate of competence from the Approved Institutions for the province2) Registered/eligible for registration with the Approved Professional Institutions for the province3) Previo...
